You can set any of these images as desktop wallpapers by using the standard method. Windows Vista is explained using the link above. Other OS's and web browsers use similar methods to set pictures as desktop backgrounds.
One can also use Irfanview or similar free programs to do the same thing, and then some. With Irfanview you can easily crop, resize, edit, enhance, and set pictures as your desktop wallpaper.
